“Traveling to Africa to practice archaeology was a dream come true for me. It was certainly one of the most unique experiences Iʹve ever had as I came face‐to‐face with fascinating culture and engaging history. It was a rare opportunity to work in an area such as this, one off the beaten track and without a long‐standing tradition in archaeology. The program had a great impact on me—the experience of working independently in the field was invaluable. It provided an excellent field experience and allowed me the chance to study a facet of archaeology I had never previously considered.”
