Project Directors
Dr. David Robinson is lecturer in archaeology at the University of Central Lancashire, United Kingdom. He specializes in rock-art research and environmental enculturation. He has directed projects and excavations across the globe, including work on rock-art in India, graffiti in Barcelona (Spain) and landscape monumentality on the recently completed Stonehenge Riverside Project, Southern United Kingdom.
Dr. Fraser Sturt is a lecturer in maritime archaeology at the University of Southampton, United Kingdom. He specializes in environmental/geo archaeology and the use of the digital technology. In addition to this project, he currently conducts fieldwork in Australia, Peru, and the British Channel Islands.
Dr. Julienne Bernard is a research associate at the Cotsen Institute of Archaeology and Assistant Professor of Anthropology at East Los Angeles College. Her dissertation explored prehistoric and historic lifeways and material culture at the Emigdiano Chumash village of Tashlipun. Dr. Bernard will participate in this field school on a visiting basis.
