Dr. Alexei Vranich is a research associate at the Cotsen Institute of Archaeology and has excavated extensively throughout the Andes. (sessions I & II)
Dr. Jackson Cothren is an assistant professor of Geosciences at the University of Arkansas with a background in geodetic science and surveying. (session II)
Mr. Malcolm Williamson currently serves as Geospatial Applications and Education Manager at the CAST laboratory at the University of Arkansas, overseeing a wide diversity of programs.
Ariela Nurko and Calley Levine are studying Digital Media Design at the University of Pennsylvania. In 2006 they created 3D digital reconstructions of archaeological ruins that were shown on the History Channel.
Paul Debevec leads the Graphics Laboratory at the University of Southern California's Institute for Creative Technologies and is a Research Associate Professor in the USC Computer Science Department.
Adam Barnes has been involved with CAST since 2005 as a Geomatics Specialist, working on a variety of projects involving photogrammetry, laser scanning , GIS, and remote sensing. He has been working with the Center's EAST Initiative crew since 2006, training 2-12 grade students in the use of GIS, GPS, and 3D visualization software and techniques.
Angie Payne has directed numerous 3D scanning projects at CAST (including surveys at Tiwanaku, Bolivia and Machu Picchu, Peru). She specializes in 3D scanning applications, 3D modeling and animation, and archaeological visualization and is currently project leader on the Virtual Hampson Museum Project.
