Travel
You are responsible for making your own travel arrangements. Please plan to arrive to Jaffa by June 27 as classes will begin at 5:00 am on Sunday, June 28. Many airlines fly to Israel, all landing at Ben Gurion Airport (TLV). Train, bus, and taxi service are available from Ben Gurion airport to Tel Aviv-Jaffa. We will depart from Old Jaffa Hostel on July 30, 2009.
Delta and Continental airlines have direct flights to Tel Aviv through hubs on the East Coast. Many European airlines connect through a layover at a European hub. El Al, the national Israeli airline is the only airline with direct, nonstop flights between Los Angeles and Tel Aviv. These flights, however, run only three times a week so make sure to check before you book your ticket.
Visa Requirements (if any):
A passport valid for six months beyond duration of stay, an onward or return ticket, and proof of sufficient funds are required for entry. A no-charge, three-month visa may be issued upon arrival and may be renewed. For more information, please consult the US State Department Web site.
