The primary objective of this course is to provide students with a better understanding of how archaeology is practiced in the field.  This will be achieved by providing the student with: 1) a classroom-based introduction to the basis of field methods in archaeology, and 2) by providing a practical working knowledge of excavation, survey, laboratory and field recording methods.
