Travel
You are responsible for making your own travel arrangements to Canterbury. Canterbury is easily accessible by train from the major airports of London Gatwick and London Heathrow – the journey takes a little over 1½ hours from either London Victoria or Charing Cross stations. You will be met at Canterbury railway station on the day of your arrival and transported to Lyminge.
Visa Requirements (if any):
A valid passport is required to enter and depart the UK. You will need to enter the United Kingdom as a “Student Visitor” (Non-PBS). You will not enter the U.K. as a tourist and you do not need a student visa because the program is less than 6 months long. You will need to take your Student Visitor Letter (written by the UCLA IEO) and proof of financial means as they will be very important to have with you when you arrive in the UK. More information will be provided by the end of May. Please visit the
US State Department web page for additional information.
