Travel
You are responsible for making your own travel arrangements. We recommend that you fly to Cairo Airport (CAI) and stay one night in Cairo. The hotel has a shuttle service which collects you from the airport. You will be collected from the hotel by the expedition staff.
Visas
You can purchase a tourist visa upon arrival in Cairo for an amount of $15. Since you will be staying in Egypt for over a month, you have to extend your visa, which can be done without any difficulty in Cairo. Make sure your passport is valid until at least 6 months after the date you are planning to return. For more information, please consult the US State Department relevant page.
