Budgeting
We recommend that you budget accordingly to cover optional sightseeing, internet cafes, emergencies, etc. How much to budget depends on your travel, entertainment and souvenir choices. It is always best to overestimate your spending. Take the time to research the cost of living in your destination and the activities you want to participate in while abroad.
Financial Aid
Financial aid is available to qualified UCLA students. UCLA students' fall term award will be augmented (through additional loans) to cover program fees, estimated airfare and spending money expenses. To have your fall award modified to include these program expenses, a Quarter Abroad Financial Aid Agreement Form is due 3 weeks prior to the deadline for fall quarter fees. The form will be available in August. UCLA students receiving financial aid are not responsible for the Egypt program final payment deadline.
For more information about your academic year financial aid package, please consult with your financial aid advisor at the Financial Aid Office.
