Travel
You are responsible for making your own travel arrangements. Please plan to arrive in Hope, British Columbia by June 21 (Sunday). Class will begin on Monday, June 22 at 8:00 am.
If you are flying, we recommend that you arrange flights to and from Vancouver International Airport (YVR). Vancouver is approximately two hours west of Hope by car, and three hours by Greyhound bus. A number of airlines fly to Vancouver. Alaska Airlines (www.alaskaair.com) and Air Canada (www.aircanada.com) typically have the best prices, but other carriers sometimes offer better deals. We recommend booking at least 1 to 2 months in advance of the course.
Be sure to check local and metro bus schedules and routes from YVR airport to the local Greyhound bus terminal. Given the unpredictability of flight arrival times and on-the-ground traffic in Vancouver, we recommend allowing for at least a full hour to make your way to the Greyhound terminal (located approximately 14 km north of the airport). One-way bus fares are typically no more than $25-30 CAD. Greyhound has a small depot in Hope only 10-minutes (by foot) from the Telte-Yet campsite on the river’s edge.

Travelers are not permitted to transport firearms, alcohol, or fruit/vegetables across the border.Health
